Yes. The deep baffle + pearly lens hides and softens the source, so it’s calmer at low heights. Start at 3000K and dim to 50–70% for bedtime play.

My ceiling cavity is tight—will the junction box fit without a headache?

The slim J-box helps in tight spots. Measure first, pre-bend wires, and use compact push-in connectors. Leave a small service loop so the box slides in cleanly.
