Can I place it over the shower?

Yes. It’s wet-location rated for direct water exposure, and the airtight build helps resist steam and condensation.

Safe with insulation above the ceiling?

Yes. It’s IC-rated and airtight, so it can touch insulation and helps limit conditioned air leakage.

My existing cutout is larger—will this cover cleanly?

The actual hole size is 7.36 inches. If your opening matches, it retrofits neatly for a clean finish.
