FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Do I have to use both lights together, or can I split the kit into two singles later?

You can do either. Each fixture is a full, canless downlight with its own J-box. The decorative dual plate is optional—install them as a paired set for a clean, symmetrical look, or separate them and use the two lights individually if your layout changes.

Is installation harder than a single downlight? How do I keep both heads aligned?

Effort is similar to installing two standard canless lights. Cut two openings, wire each J-box, and clip the fixtures in; then position the plate so the edges are parallel to walls/cabinets and tighten everything flush.

What if one side fails later—do I have to replace the whole set?

No. Each head is independent. You can remove and service/replace one fixture without disturbing the other or the plate. After replacement, match the CCT switch so both heads stay consistent, and they’ll dim together on the same circuit as usual.

Where does the dual set make the most sense versus two separate singles?

Use the dual plate when you want a clean, intentional ceiling detail that delivers more output in one position—think kitchen islands, vanities, long consoles, or corridor focal points. Choose two singles if you need flexible spacing across a larger area. (You can also split the kit later—each head can work on its own.)
