Is this fixture hardwired or plug-in? Can I install it without opening the wall?

It’s hardwired. Mount the backplate to a standard US octagon J-box, make the wire connections, then attach the shade and decorative nuts. It’s not a plug-in light.

Does the glass glow 360°? Any glare concerns?

Yes—360° glow. The amber tint cuts harshness; position the filament slightly above eye level to minimize glare.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb and wall dimmer. Use a dimmable E26 LED (or dimmable filament lamp) with a compatible triac wall dimmer.

I want an up-light for gentle ceiling glow in a bedroom—can I flip the shade?

Yes. Install shade-up to bounce light off the ceiling for a calm, indirect glow perfect for winding down.
