Can I install the globe shade facing up or down above my mirror?

Yes. The shade supports both up- and down-light orientations. Downlight gives stronger task light; uplight creates softer ambient bounce.

Will the amber/smoke glass make the room too yellow or dim?

Amber and smoke glass warm and soften the output. If you want crisper light, use a higher-lumen bulb and a cooler CCT; the fixture accepts standard E26 A19 bulbs (mind the globe clearance).

What socket and wattage limits should I observe?

E26 ceramic socket, max 60W (lamp). Use only indoor, line voltage 120V typical US (fixture sheet supports 85–260V; follow local supply). Bulb and cable carry UL ratings.

Is it dimmable?

The fixture itself is on/off; dimming depends on the bulb and the wall dimmer. Use a dimmable E26 LED and a compatible triac wall dimmer; avoid mixing non-dimmable bulbs.
