I just want the lights to pop on when I open the safe—no fumbling for a switch. Will this do that?

Yes. The built-in PIR sensor turns the lights on when it sees motion and turns them off after about 5 minutes without movement. Mount the sensor where it faces the door for best pickup.

I’m nervous about tools. Is there a no-drill way to mount these?

Yes. You can stick them with 3M tape or use the included hook-and-loop strips. Screws are there if you want a permanent mount.

We don’t want to keep changing batteries. Is this plug-in and steady?

Yes. It’s powered by a UL-listed AC adapter (DC 12V), so you get steady light without battery swaps.

Will the sensor see me from the side, or do I need to stand right in front?

Forward-facing gives ~120° coverage up to ~8 m; top/ceiling-style gives ~360° around ~6 m. Aim it toward the usual approach path.
