FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

My ceiling is a bit dated and I’m planning to repaint soon. Will this trimless downlight blend into the ceiling once installed?

Yes. The trimless ring is screwed in, then skim-coated, sanded, and painted so only the aperture remains—creating a seamless, flush look that matches your new finish. Prep the surface and protect the opening during plastering/painting, and keep the J-box accessible per code.

After plastering over the ring, how do I service or replace the light? Is it “sealed in”?

No. The ring stays in place, while the light module is serviceable through the aperture. Electrical connections sit in the J-box above; keep it accessible per code. During finishing, protect the opening so compound/paint doesn’t enter the cavity.

With glare control, will it feel dim? Is it suitable over dining tables, countertops, or reading nooks?

The deep-set optic hides the LED to cut direct and reflected glare, so it’s softer on the eyes while keeping usable light on your surfaces. With CRI 90+, finishes and food look accurate. It’s ideal over tables, islands, and reading spots—clear but comfortable.

Can I use it in bathrooms or damp/wet areas? Anything I should know about codes and certifications?

Yes—rated for wet locations. It’s ETL / ES / FCC / T24 (5000K excluded) certified. For code compliance (e.g., JA8), choose the labeled CCT options and follow local wiring and moisture-protection practices.
