My porch is small and I don’t want a blinding floodlight—will this 19" back-lit sconce give me a soft, architectural glow rather than blasting light into my eyes?

I have a video doorbell right next to the fixture—since it’s back-lit, will it help avoid harsh glare and lens flare on my camera at night?
