I’m renting and can’t touch the wiring. Can I still use this wall sconce?

Yes. It’s plug-in. Just mount the plate with the included screws/anchors, route the braided cord with the cable clip, and plug into a standard 120V outlet. No hardwiring is needed.

Where is the switch and how long is the cord?

The inline switch sits about 25cm (≈10in) from the fixture’s wire exit for easy reach. The braided power cord is about 1.8m (5.9ft) long.

What bulb should I buy? Will larger bulbs fit?

Use a 120V E26-base A19 LED (bulb not included), up to 20W LED max. Oversized shapes (A21/ST64) may protrude and prevent the shade from seating properly—stick to standard A19 for a clean fit.

Does it light up both up and down? What’s the effect?

Yes. The main beam shines downward for task light, while a small acrylic window on top casts a soft upward glow for ambience—great for bedrooms, reading nooks, and hallways.
